The original Artwork entitled ‘Queen Takes Bishop’ – created using archival ink fine liners.
This was my first purely monochrome piece, having previously employed colour and a ‘shock’ of black and white. I would like to say that this was a conscious decision, in reference to the black and white pieces and board of a chess game. However, It wasn’t until I was three quarters of the way through the piece that I realised that it was going to remain black and white – something that I guess the late, great Bob Ross would have called, “A happy accident”.
