The original Artwork entitled, ‘Woman With Wine Glass‘, painted in heavy bodied on 1000 x 750mm stretched canvas.
It is unusual for the artist to work from photographs. However, for this artwork he used Jackie (his better half) as muse. There was a conscious decision to make this painting as vibrant and colourful as possible. The colours each selected to work against their neighbouring colour in different ways and sharply opposed to the black and white of the optical art inspired background, which also carries on into the rest of the painting.
Painting the impression of the wine glass was one that required some decision making, so as to show the reflection and refraction of any liquid within and of the glass itself.
This is a large, as yet unframed canvas, and is priced as such. However, framing options ARE available (such as an elegant floating frame). Please ask if you are interested.
