This was the third artwork in this mini series of five works which included the use of intricate, narrow horizontal lines.
Created using fine liner pens, acrylics and paint pens – this large artwork draws from the artists frustrations with his own mental health. Here we see, among the ‘normal’ horizontal lines, other lines that have apparently deviated from their path at random points and ultimately ended up at the edge of the dark void, or precipice, that occupies a large proportion of the painting.
This painting is beautifully framed in a heavy, thick profile, real wooden frame (black). The artwork is set back in a deep mount, which gives an even more impressive gravitas to the painting. This really is a high quality frame that brings out the very best of the artist’s work.
