‘On the Balance of Things‘ – The original of this freehand artwork was started as a demonstration piece for the Walsall Society of Artists.
Wine bottle and a free-floating wine glass intersect with each other playfully. It was a late decision by the artist to add the ‘balance’ element to this painting. His trademark use of lines had naturally created a sort of pivot point towards the bottom of the painting. The artist chose to balance the whole mass of the painting with one miniscule yellow square.
