‘Endsong’ – Framed Original 580 x 495mm

£350.00

Apologies! A better image of this painting WILL appear soon.

The original Artwork entitled, ‘Endsong‘, painted in heavy bodied acrylics and fine liners on canvas board.

This forlorn figure sat on the side of their bed, was inspired by the artist listening to the new (at the time of writing) album by The Cure, ‘Songs of the Lost World’. The final song on the album, is the melancholy Endsong. Robert Smith reminisces of being a child or young man and having all of those hopes and aspirations, that one does at that age – and he reflects on how he became so old and whether he achieved what he thought or wished that he would.

This resonated very strongly with the artist’s own mind – looking back at his life. The song brought on thoughts of regret and sadness at things he hasn’t achieved in life.

The artwork is set in a beautiful deep-set conservation grade mount, and framed in an elegant black, real wood frame.
