The original Artwork entitled, ‘Empty Chair’.
This artwork is painted in heavy bodied acrylics on canvas board. It follows a very simple sketch by the artist, of the same name. The original sketch came about when the artist was struggling through a bout of depression and the chair symbolised his struggle and helped him to come through what was a difficult time. He then decided, a few days later, to recreate the image that had helped him, in acrylics.
This images means an awful lot to the artist.
The artwork is currently unframed and in safe storage. However, the painting will be set in a deep-set conservation grade mount and framed in a simple but elegant, real wood frame upon purchase, in whichever colour the buyer chooses*. Therefore, upon purchase, please allow reasonable time for the painting to be mounted, framed and shipped and all of the dialogue that these processes will bring.
