‘Gacy’ – Original Artwork – on 500 x 400mm Canvas Board

£250.00

The original Artwork entitled, ‘Gacy’.

This artwork is painted in heavy bodied acrylics on canvas board. The artist has always had a fascination with serial killers, none more so that the infamous John Wayne Gacy, who during the 1970’s murdered 33 young men and boys, and buried them, for the most-part, under his house. Gacy, in interviews, in the years that followed his incarceration, was always calm and thoughtfully spoken. His matter of fact manner belied the atrocities he had committed, and he may well have been talking about the weather.

Gacy, believe it or not, often dressed a clown and entertained kids at parties and functions. This painting uses this premise to capture both the split personality of the subject and the deep malevolence within him.

The artwork is currently unframed and in safe storage. However, the painting will be set in a deep-set conservation grade mount and framed in a simple but elegant, real wood frame upon purchase, in whichever colour the buyer chooses*. Therefore, upon purchase, please allow reasonable time for the painting to be mounted, framed and shipped and all of the dialogue that these processes will bring.
