‘Creases’ – Created using fine liner pens.
The artist has always had a love for optical art. Art that plays with the eye and confuses the brain. In fact one of the artist’s art heroes has always been Bridget Riley, and although she has always resisted the term ‘Op Art’, Steve has always loved the way in which Bridget uses the close proximity of black and white to create movement and, in some instances, colour.
Here we see the black and white parallel horizontal lines played across an intersection of various vertical ‘lines’. some straight and some wavy, which gives the impression of three-dimensional creases in the artwork and creates a confusing movement for the eye. Some may even see colours form when looking intently at this artwork.
Each Giclée print, is signed by the artist. Produced in A4 size, on 320gsm Textured Artist paper. Available in two main option:
